Hive Power, Axpo, and Amag Join Forces to Support the Grid with EVs in Switzerland

In a groundbreaking partnership, Hive Power has teamed up with Axpo and Clyde Mobility, a popular Swiss car subscription service under AMAG Group, to deliver innovative energy solutions using FLEXO, Hive Power’s advanced flexibility optimisation tool. This collaboration demonstrates Hive Power’s deep tech expertise, leveraging the flexibility of over 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in Switzerland to support the national transmission operator. By aggregating the capacity of these EVs, FLEXO delivers essential grid support services that adapt to the needs of an increasingly renewable-focused energy grid.

When renewable generation surges, grids can become saturated, forcing operators to dial back clean energy sources.
